Middlesbrough Corporation
On 1st April 1968, the Corporation was merged with Stockton and TRTB to form Teesside Municipal Transport.

The passing years aren't always kind to those we have loved but here's proof that, thankfully, the opposite is open the case. Middlesbrough 52, XG9304, is a Leyland PD1A with Northern Counties L27/26R bodywork, one of three new to the Corporation in June 1947.

Middlesbrough 62, ADC662, seen at Middlesbrough Exchange was one of sixteen Leyland PD1/3s delivered in 1949 with ECW H30/26R bodies, these being the first 8’ wide buses in the fleet.

Middlesbrough 83, AXG683, at Middlesbrough Exchange. A batch of sixteen Eastern Coachworks bodied Leyland PD1/3s was delivered in 1949 and the 1950 delivery of sixteen should have been similar but due to delivery problems the chassis order was switched to Guy resulting in Eastern Coachworks H30/26R bodies on Guy Arab III chassis, the last of which was withdrawn in 1966.
