TKM344 was a Harrington C37C bodied AEC Reliance MU3RV. It had been new to Maidstone & District in February 1955 as CO344, later C344 (1961) and, finally, 4344 (1968).
It was one of a batch of 20 new in 1955 which followed 27 similar coaches which had been new in 1954.
It was withdrawn in 1968 but not sold to TPE (dealer), Macclesfield, until April 1970.
In this image it is seen stored after withdrawal, with at least one other of the type, at Tenterden Depot.
