FXT192 new to London Transport as RT17 in March 1940 with LPTB H30/26R body. Between 1957 and 1959 it was in the training fleet before going in to store.
In March 1960 it was sold to Birds (Stratford-on-Avon) passing almost immediately to Ferodo (Chapel-en-le-Frith), for brake testing, until 3/65. It sat unused for a few months until February 1966 when it passed to the London Bus Preservation Group for spares. In 1969 it was dismantled at Canvey Island.
One of four pictures in the Wimborne archive, two showing it parked as here with test equipment attached to the wheels, and two from February 1966 showing it moving around the site, which may well have been the occasion on which it was leaving for disposal.
