Lawson, Kirkintilloch P172, WG2376, was a Leyland LT5B Lion new to W. Alexander in 1934 with an Alexander C32F body which was rebodied in 1947 with a Burlingham B35F body. Transferred to Lawson in 1953 it is seen here at Dundas Street Bus Station in Glasgow.

2. SN6524
Believed to be the only surviving Ford BB bus, David Lawson 62, SN6524, was first licensed in January 1935. It carried a 14-seat body by James Martin of Kirkintilloch and was one of six BBs for Lawson in that year, three buses and three coaches. When Lawson’s were taken over by Alexander’s in 1938 it was allocated fleetnumber O21 but was soon withdrawn as it was considered non-standard.

Lawson, Kirkintilloch P723, WG2392 was a Leyland LT5A Lion new to W. Alexander in 1935 with an Alexander B36F body being rebodied in 1945 with a new Alexander B36F body. It was transferred to Lawson in 1953 and is seen here at Dundas Street Bus Station in Glasgow.

A Leyland TS8 Special, WG9335, with an Alexander C39F body was P645 in the Lawson fleet and was one of four delivered in 1940. It was seen awaiting its next trip in Dundas Street Bus Station, Glasgow.

Lawson, Kirkintilloch P679, WG9515, was a Leyland TS8 Special with an Alexander C39F body which had been new in December 1940 to Alexander, Falkirk and which had been transferred to Lawson in 1949.

Dundas Street Bus Station, Glasgow is the setting for Guy Arab I WG9818, RO438, which was new to Alexander, Falkirk in 1942 with a Duple L27/28R body. It was transferred to Lawson, Kirkintilloch in 1949 and was rebodied in June 1951 with a new Eastern Coachworks L27/26R body.

WG9980 was RO451 of Lawson, Kirkintilloch and was a Guy Arab II new in 1943 with a Roe L27/26R body. It was fitted with the Eastern Coachworks L27/26R body, seen here, in July 1951 in Dundas Street Bus Station.

WG9981 was a Guy Arab with an Eastern Coachworks L27/26R body and was number RO452 in the fleet of Lawson, Kirkintilloch which was seen in Dundas Street bus station in Glasgow. When new in 1943 it had a Roe L27/28R body and was rebodied in July 1951.

Guy Arab II AMS45 was RO458 in the fleet of Lawson, Kirkintilloch and was one of three such vehicles with Roe L27/28R bodies delivered in 1944. It had been rebodied in June 1951 with the Eastern Coachworks L27/26R body seen here in Dundas Street Bus Station, Glasgow.
