Samuel Ledgard BCK441, formerly Ribble 2498, started life in 1947 as a Brush-bodied Leyland PD1A. Rather like an old brush with a new handle and a new head, in 1955 it received an 8 foot Burlingham body, and was re-engined to become a PD2/3.
It was a late purchase by Ledgard in 1966 but, like most of the fleet, did not survive the West Yorkshire takeover in October, 1967. It is seen in this sad line-up awaiting disposal, including unidentified ex-Ribble all-Leyland PD2 and RT.
