Leeds 63, UG8779, new in March 1934, was an A.E.C. 661 Regent with a Roe H30/26R metal framed body. An oil engine was fitted in November 1937 and, after overturning in York Road on 31st March 1947, whilst working on route 41, it was withdrawn.
The body was scrapped and an instrument van, for the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, was constructed on the chassis and it was sold to them. On the disbandment of the orchestra it passed to Heavy Motor Services (Keeling), Kirkstall Road in November 1955 and was converted to a flat-bed lorry. Note registration number plate position.
