Whingate Junction was the point where routes 15 and 16 diverged. Leeds 580, one of the Feltham trams acquired from London Transport is seen turning from Tong Road into Whingate on its way to the Whingate terminus whilst the track on the right leads to the New Inn terminus of route 16.
Just visible on this track is part of the crossover used by trams terminating at Whingate Junction.
