Having turned at the end of the line at Hill Top Road in Whingate, Leeds 511 will move down the short distance to the terminal pick-up point, at Heights Lane, for the return journey whilst operating the morning journey which ran through to Halton and Templenewsam rather then running to Crossgates which was the normal destination from Whingate.
It had arrived in Leeds from London on 10th October 1950 and entered service on 1st December. It had a Union Construction Company 42/28 body on E.M.B. Maximum Traction bogies, was last used in service on 7th August 1957 and was burned in Low Fields Road Permanent Way Yard on 12th October 1957.
