Leeds City Transport 327, JUG627, was one of fifteen Roe H31/25R bodied Leyland PD1s delivered in 1946 and numbered 319-333. From January 1949 they spent their days at Bramley Garage and, with the exception of 331, were used mainly on route 46 from Bramley Town End to Belle Isle and Middleton.
They performed peak hour duties on other routes as well, but what benefit Turnways Service Station in Roundhay Road would get from its advert remains debatable. 331 was a regular on route 54 Central Bus Station/Rockingham Street to Rodley having been fitted with a Leyland O.600 engine and synchromesh gearbox around 1948. This view of 327 having just turned from Wesley Road into Church Road in Armley on its way to Belle Isle shows that the early post-war Roe bodies had a two glass layout for the emergency exit window.
