Having just arrived as a peak hour extra at the terminus in Ullswater Crescent, Halton Moor of route 28 from the Central Bus Station, a route normally worked by double-deckers, the driver is about to change the destination to the very helpful "York Road" with a blank route blind before they return to Torre Road No. 2 Garage. This point was also the terminus for the 44 service from Stanningley via Kirkstall and Headingley. Leeds 27, MNW85, was one of two Leyland PS1s with Roe B36R bodies new in 1948.
