An interesting shot taken at Bramley Town End showing austerity tram 275 using the crossover to return to Corn Exchange. The driver of Horsfield 179 at the inbound stop is preparing to lift a pram on to the front platform whilst on the right can be seen the small waiting room and also the exit from Bramley Garage.
In the days when it was a tram depot, until January 1949, this had been both the entrance and the exit for the trams. In the traffic island, in line with the garage exit, can be seen the permanently fitted lever for operating the points of the crossover. The lower height section of the building, behind the waiting room, housed the canteen, whilst immediately to the right of the exit was the traffic office. Visible between the two trams is the shadowy image of an approaching Leyland bodied PD2/1 on either route 54 to Rodley or 65 to Pudsey.
