Lancaster 390, 390JTD, was new to the original Lancaster City Transport in 1959. She is a Leyland Tiger Cub, noted in the PSVC fleet list as being of the PSUC1/3 variety (i.e., having a pneumocyclic gearbox). The East Lancs bodywork is of B43F layout, and she was in maroon and cream livery when new.
She was withdrawn in December 1973, but passed with her sister 389, to the new Lancaster City Council in April 1974, and was reinstated. In this case, Local Government Reorganisation means a Lancaster merger with Morecambe & Heysham, and 390's transfer to Heysham Road garage from Kingsway. She has acquired Trafalgar Blue and White livery as part of the merger, and has moved on already from the interim "Tilling style" fleetname. She's between duties inside Heysham Road garage in May 1975.
