Kippax & District 556DUA was a Leyland PD3A/1 with Roe H41/32R body of 1962.
The annual Barwick-in-Elmet Maypole Day was popular enough to justify a special shuttle service from nearby Garforth, over a route not normally used by buses. This view shows the bus loading on the Barwick side of the low bridge under the Leeds-York/Selby railway, requiring passengers to walk to/from Garforth village. This bus also had to make a long detour to and from the depot in Kippax.
