Preserved King Alfred AAA756, an Albion Victor with Abbott C20C body new in 1935 which became part of the FoKAB fleet in September 2012.

Cut down Guy double decker EOR579, in use by a showman. It started life in 1944 with King Alfred, a Guy Arab II with Weymann L27/28R body. It was withdrawn by them in 1954.

HOT851, which had been new in May, was the first of two Leyland CPO1 Comets with Reading C33F bodies delivered to Chisnell (King Alfred), Winchester in 1950.

Chisnell (King Alfred), Winchester had two Leyland CPO1 Comets with Reading C33F bodies which were new in 1950. HOT852, the second of them, new in June, is seen at Whipsnade Zoo with the other one to its left.

A request for more King Alfred photos has been made and of the two other views I have, both buses have been preserved. Here is POU494 which has already been seen on SCT61, a Leyland PD2/24 with East Lancs low height body, making doubly sure that passengers know this is a number 12 bus!

Looking freshly painted, WCG104 a 1959 Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/1 with Weymann B45F bodywork started life with Chisnell (King Alfred) Winchester in 1959. Passing with the King Alfred business to Hants and Dorset as number 2704 it was purchased by Eynons in 1975.

WCG106 was an AEC B3RA Bridgmaster with Park Royal H45/29R body new to Chisnell (King Alfred) in 1959. It passed to Hants and Dorset in April 1973 and by 1977 was to be found in Wigan with Poolstock names.

Eynon's WWV564 is quite clearly a former Silver Star vehicle. A Leyland Leopard L1 with Harrington C39F (DP39F?) bodywork, bus seats having replaced the original coach seats but still retaining the hinged door.

Bristol Omnibus 8602, HOR590E a 1967 Leyland Atlantean/Roe. Originally with King Alfred this Atlantean passed via Hants & Dorset to Bristol Omnibus for use as an open-topper. Judging by the marks below the engine cover it looks as though it is suffering from the usual PDR1/2 flywheel oil loss problems.
