New to Preston in 1972 as their 231, RTF431L, this was one of the last Leyland Panthers built; it carries a Seddon body.
In 1983 it was acquired by Isle of Man Transport and became 2, MAN1838, in their fleet. It is seen wearing an all over advertising liveryfor JMP Insurance Brokers. In 1986 it was withdrawn and sold to Citibus of Manchester.
