Hartlepool 17, MEF617, was a Leyland PD2/40 with a Roe H37/28R body, seen at Port Clarence.
It was one of four new in October 1962 to West Hartlepool, and was transferred to Hartlepoool Corporation Transport in April 1967. It was withdrawn in October 1979 and sold through Central Motor Auctions, Maltby, Thornaby-on-Tees in November 1979. It then passed to Leonard (dealer), Charltons, Guisborough in January 1980; to Clevestone Transport, Charltons, Guisborough also in January 1980. It passed back to Central Motor Auctions in July 1980 and to Wombwell Diesels (dealer), Wombwell in August 1980, for scrap.
