Highland Omnibuses T21, PUS497F, was one of a pair of Ford R192 with Duple Midland B45F bodywork acquired in September 1968 from the dealer Millburn Motors, Glasgow.
Highland had previously acquired a pair (T17/18, HST48F/HST49F) from the same source earlier in the same year. T21 was sold in February 1983 to an unknown owner.
At the time of the 1968 Commercial Motor Show, at which two models of this shape were exhibited on the Duple Midland stand, it was announced that, with effect from the 1969 season, the Duple Midland name would cease to be used and all Duple Group products produced at Loughborough would be regarded as Willowbrook. It is for this reason that I have described it as being Duple Midland, although you will find this, and other similar vehicles built before 1969, described as Willowbrook elsewhere. This one was supplied to Millburn in June 1968.
