Much has been said recently on the welcome appearance of Glasgow TBS13 in the Riverside Museum. Here is the one that got away. TBS21, FYS996, a BUT RETB1 with Burlingham B50F bodywork built in 1958.
Seen in somewhat derelict condition at the 1985 Sandtoft gathering, this bus led a somewhat peripatetic life and I believe it may have found a final resting place many miles from home, as I am sure it was in the garage of Xelabus in Eastleigh in 2014. Xelabus is the company owned by the family of Phil Blair who has a number of south coast based preserved buses.
