Glasgow "Coronation Mk1" 1173 represents the height of their pre-war tramway modernisation, dating from 1938.
Its use in the last tram procession in 1962 ensured it was safely preserved in the Glasgow Transport Museum at Coplawhill, then Kelvin Hall, before arriving at the Riverside Museum.
