Breakdowns did occur sometimes as witnessed by an ex-Liverpool "streamliner", or "Green Goddess" as they were known in Glasgow, pushing a disabled Coronation tram up to Maryhill Depot.
Although not apparent here, passengers were allowed to stay on both cars if safe to do so, and the driver of the front tram would signal to the motorman behind if the road ahead was clear, presumably dropping off passengers on their way.
Unfortunately the fleet number on the original print is unreadable, but this "Goddess" has had its two-piece windscreen replaced. Going by depot allocations and withdrawal dates, there were only three Goddess in service by this date, 1014, 1021 and 1031 from Maryhill Depot.
