East Yorkshire stores lorry, formerly bus 467, JAT435, a Leyland Tiger PS1 with Brush B30R body, new in 1948. Withdrawn as a bus in 1956 it was converted and in use by 6/58.
It was withdrawn finally in 2/73, passing via North's, the dealer, Sherburn-in-Elmet to a preservationist. Its present situation is not known to me.
The lorry conversion - involving removing the middle section of the bodywork and reattaching the rear end to the front end to form a crew cab, then adding a dropside body - was similar to conversions done for Yorkshire Woollen (also on a PS1/Brush) and Hebble (on a Regal 0662/Weymann) by Spen Engineering, but I do not know whether Spen were responsible for this one also.
