Economic, Whitburn, KUP799 was numbered 10 in the fleet of E W Wilson. It is an Albion Valiant CX39N with C33F bodywork by local firm Associated Coach Builders.
Of the 180 bus bodies built by ACB at Southwick in Sunderland between 1946 and 1954 only two survive. Strangely perhaps, Sunderland Corporation didn't turn to ACB until a batch of five Daimler CVG5s delivered in early 1954 (the first double-deckers built in Sunderland) but their belated custom didn't have much effect as the firm folded later in the year.
