Crosville's Machynlleth depot (MH) is time-honoured but the double-decker awaiting return to its home town of Aberystwyth isn't. DVG568, HAL105K, an early Bristol VR Mark 2 with ECW H39/31F body had only been acquired in June 1984 from East Midland, to whom it had served as D105 from November 1971, losing its D prefix in January 1976.

Both depot and VR went on to celebrate deregulation after transfer to Crosville Wales in September 1986. The former passed via Arriva to independent Lloyd, Machynlleth as headquarters using its Welsh location of Heol Y Doll, and still thrives. The latter stayed mostly at Aberystwyth but was sold to Hill, Congleton in May 1988 and for scrap in the following year.
