Derby Corporation 172, HRC172C, was a Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX with Roe H44/34F bodywork, one of three which had been delivered with registrations FRC 172-74C and which were stored for several months before entering service in January 1966.
172 had, however, been licensed for driver tuition in November 1965. These were the first front entrance/rear engine vehicles in the fleet, although the demonstrator 565 CRW had been on loan and used in service for a couple of weeks in February 1964. On withdrawal, in March 1984, it passed, via Rollinson (dealer), Carlton, to Conmac Stages Ltd, Sidney, British Columbia, Canada, in May 1984.
