County Motors, Lepton 113, KCX263E, a Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/12 with Marshall DP45F body, new in 1967.
It passed to Yorkshire Traction as 598 on 1st January 1969 on the takeover of County Motors. It was withdrawn in 1978, passing to Rollinson's, the breaker, Carlton for scrap.
Described by the PSV Circle as dual-pupose, but certainly towards the service bus side of that designation.
Pictured in Lord Street, Huddersfield it is preparing to depart for Dewsbury. Once it had made the steep climb up through Kirkheaton (known locally as 'Yetton') to Heaton Moor and turned on to the B6118 along the spine of the hill the views would be quite stunning, with an almost 360 degrees long distance vista, before dropping down the other side through Hopton to Mirfield then along the valley bottom road to its destination.
