Three Crossleys in one here. Taken on 19th May 1974 we had travelled from Manchester in Bolton 8, DBN978, to Sheffield where we were about to transfer to Yeates-bodied Crossley EX6644. We were joined at this point by Chesterfield 8, NRA708. This bus is identical to how Bolton 8 was in original condition (even to the fleet number), apart from the fact that the Bolton bus had air brakes. Bolton 8 was rebuilt the following year to original rear-entrance configuration, having been converted to front entrance for welfare bus duty, which also involved fitting a tail lift.
