Acquired from the Ministry of Aviation, London W.C.2, in April 1962, British European Airways 6512, UYL712, was a Bedford J4A2 which had been new in 1958 to the Ministry of Transport & Civil Aviation, London W,C,1, passing to the Ministry of Aviation, London W.C,2, in October 1959.
It is seen operating at Heathrow Airport with trailer 9916, which had a Samlesbury B44C body on a B.T.C. chassis and which had been new in 1958, and had followed a similar acquisition route.
More on these here.
