Barton Transport, Chilwell 914, VHO 500, was a Duple Britannia C43F bodied AEC Reliance 2MU3RA which had been new to Creamline Motor Services, Bordon in April 1959.
It was acquired by Barton in July 1961 and withdrawn in August 1971, having been burnt out. However, the chassis was rebuilt by Barton, given a new chassis number and rebodied with a new Plaxton C45F body, the resultant vehicle being registered HVO 473K and given fleet number 1204, entering service as such in February 1972. It later became C37F in 1972 and C41F in 1973 before being withdrawn in February 1974. It saw further service with three subsequent operators before ending up at Wealden PSV Sales Ltd, Nettlestead (dealer) by January 1986.
