Barton, Chilwell 884, JXC167, which is seen outside Barton's Head Office in Chilwell, had been acquired in February 1961 with the business of McKechnie and Cole (Cream Bus Service), Stamford.
It was an A.E.C. 0961 Regent III with a Cravens H30/26R body which had been new in January 1949 as London Transport RT1404, passing to McKechnie and Cole in March 1957. Barton withdrew it in 1967, and it passed to Furborough (dealer), Leicester in August 1967 for scrap.
On the right is Barton's Bedford TK articulated lorry 80, 835 SNN.
