Taken from the coach park occupying the track bed near the site of Blackpool Central Station, this view of the rear of the Blackpool Transport Rigby Road depot shows what appears to be the training fleet. 291, EFV291, with 295, EFV295, behind it, are identifiable and were two of the last six of this batch still current (all as trainers) when the picture was taken.
All were Leyland PD2/5 with Burlingham FH29/23C bodies from an original batch of 50 new between December 1950 and December 1951.
291 and 295 went to Cubbins (dealer), Farnworth in October 1970 and were scrapped.
