Two of Bournemouth Corporation's trolleybus ancilliary vehicles engaged in work on the overhead wires at Tuckton Bridge in 1964. To the left is FRU224, a Guy Arab II new in 1944 with a Weymann utility body as fleet no.40.
It was converted to open-top in 1952 and then into a crane wagon 10 years later, only being finally withdrawn in 2004. The vehicle on the right is 1934 AEC Regent VH6218, one of half a dozen assorted Regents acquired from Huddersfield in 1945.
This one was never used as a bus by Bournemouth, its Park Royal body being cut down for use as a tower wagon.
