Moore Brothers, Kelvedon GYL983, seen at Braintree was a Guy Arab II with a Strachan L27/28R (8'0" wide) body fitted in 1954. When new as Birch Brothers K103 in 1945 it had a Weymann L27/28R body and passed to Moore in June 1951. In 1963 it became Eastern National 1029 on the acquisition of Moore Brothers.

3. HLY480
Birch Brothers took delivery in 1946/7 of ten Leyland PD1s with Birch L28/25F bodies. Seven of them received new Metro-Cammell H30/26R bodies in 1956/7 and the first of these K180, HLY480, is seen at Bedford after the rebodying acting as a relief on the 203 service to London.

Birch Bros. K182, HLY482, was a Leyland PD1 new in 1946 with a Birch L28/25F body. It was rebodied in 1957 with an Metro-Cammell H30/26RD body as seen here outside the garage at Rushden.

HLY482 was a Leyland PD1 which had been rebodied with a Metro-Cammell H30/26R body. It was number K182 in the fleet of Birch Bros., Kentish Town and is seen outside the garage at Rushden.

K182, HLY482, of Birch Bros. London N.W.5, seen in De Parys Avenue, Bedford, loading for a relief journey on the 203 London service, was a Leyland PD1 new in 1946 with a Birch L28/25F body. This was replaced in 1957 by a Metro Cammell H30/26RD body.

Birch Bros. K183 HLY483 is seen carrying the original Birch L28/25F bodywork on its 1946 Leyland PD1 chassis. In 1956 these coaches were downgraded to bus work and received MCW Orion style rear entrance bodywork remaining in service until 1965.

JXT492 seen in Windsor with Blue Bus, Slough was a Leyland PS1/1 which had been new in to Birch Bros., London N.W.5 in September 1948 with an Eastern Coachworks C31R body. It passed to Ronsway, Hemel Hempstead as DP32R in March 1959 and to Blue Bus. Slough in February 1960, being withdrawn in May 1963.

LXV215 was the last of six Guy Arab IIIs with Willowbrook FH27/26F bodies delivered in 1951. Numbered K215 it was named 'Prince Eugene' and is seen in Bedford on the 203 service to London.

Birch Brothers K222, LXV222, seen at Bedford was a Willowbrook FH27/26F bodied Leyland PS1/4 new in 1951 and named 'Oudenarde'. After withdrawal it passed in June 1960 to Dale, Manchester.

Birch Brothers switched to AEC for their coaches for a few years and the first of the 1956 batch K31, RYT31, a Weymann C41F bodied AEC MU3RV Reliance, is seen in Bedford on the London service.
