Aldershot & District Dennis Loline I SOU454, No.346, with East Lancs H37/31RD body, delivered in March 1958, is seen in a stationary queue near the village of Sheet on the approach to Petersfield in the summer of 1961, a fine bus impeccably turned out in the A&D tradition.
The road system in this area has changed greatly since then, and my memories of driving the splendidly scenic route 6 (then with Loline IIIs) are now rather hazy almost sixty years on. I think that the location is in a section of the old A325 that has since been by-passed and turned into a cul de sac called Town Lane, but corrections from anyone familiar with present day Petersfield are welcome. The picture reminds me that traffic jams were just as much a feature impeding progress all those years ago.
