Ashton-under-Lyne Corporation 55, CTC355E, was one of a pair of Leyland Panther Cub with East Lancs 43-seat bodies new in May 1967.
They transferred initially to SELNEC PTE (Southern Division) on 1 November 1969, 55 becoming 5055, and then to Greater Manchester PTE in April 1974. 55 was withdrawn c10/74 and passed firstly to P Sykes (dealer), Carlton, and then to J & J (dealer), Carlton, in both cases in December 1974. The other one of the pair had been withdrawn in August 1973 before passing to P Sykes (dealer), Barnsley, in October 1973 and exported to Australia in February 1974.
