Fishwick often ran one off and unusual Leylands and seen here is 524CTF, originally numbered 28, a 1957 Leyland Olympian with Weymann B44F body, one of six bought just before the chassis was deleted from the Leyland home catalogue.
In January 1964 two of the batch, 11 and 28, were refurbished to coach specification by Duple at Blackpool, became DP40F and were repainted into the new coach livery. They were renumbered C4 and C5, their old numbers being taken by new Leopards CTB951/2B in accordance with normal Fishwick practice. They both returned to stage carriage work in 1968 as numbers 14 and 22 respectively and were repainted into bus livery the following year. This shot is of 22 after its return to bus work.
