Not long before the takeover by Westcliff, Canvey/Benfleet had purchased a large number of utility bodied Daimlers from Birmingham Corporation, some of which had long careers with Westcliff, Eastern National and finally Southend. FOP364 (Birmingham 1364) was one of these, with Duple body, photographed in the yard of Fairfax Drive depot on 13th February 1955. It is probably in green livery, but with Westcliff fleetname and carries its Eastern National fleet number 1197.
It lasted to 1955 with Eastern National, but was not one of those to pass to Southend.
