United AS 644, OCS584H, a Bristol VRTSL6G built in 1969 with ECW O43/34F bodywork.
Probably providing a free bus service to the newly opened Asda superstore at nearby South Bank, though an open top run in October through industrial Teesside would be for the truly dedicated shopper! This had been new as Western SMT 2254 and was exchanged for an NBC Lodekka but ultimately found its way to the US.
