Yet another variation on the C-B-C vents on York-West Yorkshire YDX91, 2225WW, a FS6B built in 1960 being overtaken by 1951 Bristol K6B YDB82, KWU353, outside York Station. Both are on the then York city services 2 and 5A. Newer Lodekkas can be seen in the background making their way round the city walls.

701-732JHY comprised a batch of Bristol FSF6G/FSF6B with ECW H34/26F bodies new to Bristol Omnibus and subsidiaries in 1960/61. When BOC needed diverted FLFs in 1967, twenty of this shorter model went to Western and Southern National, though at least five returned with Trowbridge depot in January 1970. 1019, 720JHY was the final one numerically on moving to Southern National, a Gardner engined example new as Bristol 6021 in February 1961.

Seen having received Eastern Scottish green colours is former Central SMT Bristol FSF ECW H60F B130, DGM430, renumbered as Eastern Scottish AA430A. Seen inside the New Street depot, Edinburgh. The depth of the vehicle shortage affecting Eastern Scottish at the time is emphasised by the vehicles flanking it. Edinburgh Corportion 658, ASC658B, an Alexander bodied Leyland PD3 is on the left whilst on the right is Fife Scottish FRD200, HXA400E, a 1967 Bristol FLF.

The only Bristol Lodekka FSFs to run from new in Scotland went to Central SMT. B130, DGM430, of 1962 is dwarfed by the surrounding buildings as it waits in the former Anderston Cross bus station.

Central SMT B138, DGM438, a Bristol FSF with ECW H60F bodywork one of 20 delivered in 1962. During 1977 a number of these buses went to Eastern Scottish to help with a vehicle shortage, and B138 is seen in its new guise of Eastern Scottish AA438A at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow marked up for a journey on service 27 to its new home in Edinburgh.

Former Central SMT B148, DGM448. wearing the colours of new owner Scottish Omnibuses/Eastern Scottish, where it was designated fleet number AA448 when acquired in the summer of 1977. Most of the FSFs transferred from Central were based at Edinburgh New Street depot, but this 'decker seems to have been operating out of the Borders depot of Galashiels

To make up for the lack of Central SMT views, B149, DGM449, was a Bristol FSF6G with ECW H60F body, passing Leopard T86 which I recall was waiting on change over of driver or bus. Service 181 was a route between East Kilbride and Glasgow via Busby, where the railway bridge still needs low height First Glasgow buses, but under a much different guise!

Scarborough and District have used a variety of older vehicles on the Scarborough sea front service These have include a number of second hand purchases including this well travelled Bristol Lodekka which came from Yesteryear Travel of Hunmanby in 1990. The bus was a Bristol Lodekka FS6B with convertable open top ECW bodywork new to Brighton and Hove in 1962 as their 41, XPM41.

Now in the fleet of Crosville Motor Services of Weston Super Mare (yes, honestly!) is the former Southern Vectis Bristol FS, YDL318. Taken on the occasion of the final New Year's Day Winchester Running Day. It is standing at the Colden Common terminus of the 69, in torrential rain.

Crosville DFG225, JFM225D, was a Bristol Lodekka FS6G with ECW H33/27RD bodywork and one of a batch of thirty-five which were that fleet's last new rear-entrance buses. Twenty of the batch had Gardner engines whilst the balance had Bristol engines, but the distribution of the types within the batch wasn't straightforward. My 1966 BBF19 shows the A7 running from Chester to Holywell and, given that services changed more slowly in that era, I suspect that's what it still did at the time of this photo.
