3. TVU950
The history of Dunnet Motors of Keiss dates back to the 1880s when they first provided a horsedrawn goods service between Wick station and Keiss, the railway having reached Wick in July 1874. From about 1920 their buses became a familiar sight between Wick and Keiss and, from 1942, between Wick and John o' Groats. They operated a varied fleet which at one time included a pair of Pickering-bodied Regals which came from Northern General and a pre-war ex-Chesterfield Regent which came north via McLennan of Spittalfield. I almost once travelled on one of the Regals but that's another story!
