Bradford Corporation Tower Wagon XKW832 and 833, LHN783 a 1949 BUT 9611T trolleybus with 1962 built East/Lancs H37/29F body. This Austin FG tower wagon new in 1962 attends to overhead line repairs whilst 833 gingerly squeezes by on a 46 working to, if my memory serves me right Buttershaw.
I've been trying to work out which roundabout this was. The only one in that area now is the Jacobs Well roundabout but it doesn't look like that to me. Was there another one nearby that no longer exists? Another shot I have of the tower wagon looking at the nearside has the Bradford Ice Skating Rink in the background. Any ideas anybody?
LHN 781-5 had been new to Darlington Corporation in 1949 but were sold to Doncaster Corporation in 1952. Bradford purchased them and had them rebodied by E/Lancs before putting them into service.
The tower wagon is still in use today at Sandtoft.
