5. 4510 ... Guernsey Motors 44, 4510, (all Guernsey registrations are numbers only) a 1948 Austin CXB with Barnard body. This bus is now in service in the Isles of Scilly and re-registered VVS913. (1985, St. Peter Port, Guernsey)

9. J11428 ... Dating from July 1948, Jersey Motor Transport 70, J11428, was a Morris Commercial CVF13/5 with a Wadham B27F body and was one of six new in 1948. This one was withdrawn in April 1968 and passed to Parker, West Park, St. Helier as a deck chair carrier/store. (Mon 6/6/66, Weighbridge Bus Station, St Helier)

23. HYG972 ... A rear view of HYG972, the first of a pair of Morris Beadle chassisless buses new to West Yorkshire Road Car Co. in late 1949. It was numbered 618 and allocated to Harrogate depot. Renumbered SM 1 in April 1954 it was withdrawn on 31 July 1956 and subsequently converted to a depot van, numbered 1023 and allocated to Leeds depot. Photographs of these depot van conversions appear under the "1024" heading. (early 1950s, outside West Yorkshire Head Office, Myrtle Road, Harrogate)

35. LTC874 ... Illingworths of Crigglestone operated LTC874, an Austin CXB with a Samlesbury C29F body. It was first delivered to Ashlunds Tours (an associate company of Robinsons of Great Harwood) in 1950 before quickly passing to Illingworths in 1951. (1960, Welton Court, West Cliff, Whitby)
36. LTC875 ... LTC875 is, apparently, an Austin CXD in the fleet of Georgeson and Moore. It is from my collection of 'bought' slides, and I have no idea who owns the copyright. I have been told the location is Lerwick, but can anyone give a positive answer on that, please, and the vehicle's date new?

40. MRL865 ... Former Rowe of Dobwells MRL865, an Austin K4SL with Whitson C29F body of 1950, spent many years on the Isle of Scilly. It was saved for preservation, spending some time at the East Anglian Transport Museum and is now undergoing restoration in Norfolk. (1968, St Marys, Isle of Scilly)

48. BYJ904 ... New to Dickson, Dundee in July 1952 as BYJ904 this Plaxton Venturer C14F bodied Austin K8/CVC had been re-registered to DV60 by Watson, Torquay. 50. JSF409 ... Acquired from Scottish Omnibuses in 1952, JSF409 was D121 in the Highland fleet and is seen in Farraline Park Bus Station, Inverness. The Austin CXD had a Kenex C32F body and had been a demonstrator, new in March 1952 before acquisition by Scottish Omnibuses who had numbered it A1. 51. MPT889 ... Hobson, High Etherley MPT889 was an Austin with a Churchill C21F body, seen in High Etherley, which was new in January 1952 to Baty, Rookhope, and was acquired by Hobson in August 1966. (Thu 3/8/67, High Etherley)
52. RHN548 ... Scotts Greys of Darlington were the original owners of this restored Austin K8 with 14 seat Plaxton bodywork. Dating from 1952, RHN548, was one of only 25 chassis completed and sold. It is now preserved. (1995, Trans-Pennine Rally, Harrogate Stray)
53. RHN548 ... Seen at the Hull-Bridlington rally in 2006 is this Austin K8 No1, RHN548, in the fleet of Scotts Greys. This FC14F coach was new in October 1952. (Sun 11/6/06, near Flamborough Head, Bridlington)
54. RHN548 ... A number of folk seemed to have liked this little Austin K8 of Scotts Greys, Darlington RHN548 with its promise of a safe return. Luckily I took this rear view when at Bridlington, the bus having completed the HCVS run from Hull. (Sun 11/6/06, Flamborough Head, Bridlington)

HTP326, an Austin K8, owned at the time by one of the Liverpool-based contingent of the Mersey & Calder Bus Preservation Group, it is seen receiving some attention outside their pigeon-infested warehouse at Wapping Dock. 64. 310FAR ... John Boylett recorded this as "Turners 310FAR Austin" without any other details. It was first recorded as a P.S.V. in October 1964 when it was acquired by Caterer (Icknield Coaches), Tring from a non-P.S.V. Operator and was an Austin J2BA with a B.M.C. 11 seat body. (Sat 30/1/60)

73. 14LFC ... Giving rides at the rally was one and a half deck Morris Motors Band coach 14LFC with a Wadham Stringer body built in 1961. It was specially designed with a large capacity boot to take all the musical instruments, which raised the height of the back half of the coach, giving the passengers a good view as they drove to engagements. 74. 14LFC ... Morris Motors Band 14LFC was a Morris COA1433 with a Wadham RC32F body new in March 1961 and was seen in central London. It is now preserved but the publicity material on display at rallies states, incorrectly, that the body is by Wadham Stringer which was a later incarnation of the company. This Austin FG tower wagon new in 1962 attends to overhead line repairs whilst 833 gingerly squeezes by on a 46 working to, if my memory serves me right Buttershaw.
