Ex-London Transport FXT202, or what remains of it, in a corner of Bird's scrapyard at Stratford-upon-Avon. This had seen service latterly, until February 1958, with Anderson Brothers (Blue Belle), Evenwood. In London it had been RT27 and had been an A.E.C. O661 Regent with an L.P.T.B. H30/26R body new in 1939.

Harris (t/a Progressive), Cambridge DLU116 and FXT215 were acquired from London Transport Executive in September 1955 and August 1956 respectively. Both were A.E.C. O661 Regents with L.P.T.B. H30/26R bodies, DLU116 being new in 1937 as STL2117 and FXT215 being new in 1939 as RT40.

FXT192 new to London Transport as RT17 in March 1940 with LPTB H30/26R body. Between 1957 and 1959 it was in the training fleet before going in to store.

In 1955 a small number of “pre-war” RTs were repainted green and sent to Hertford to work route 327, which crossed a weak bridge at Broxbourne (these buses were slightly lighter than the standard RT). Here RT36, FXT211, has just crossed the offending bridge as it passes Broxbourne station on the 327 on 2nd March 1957. Rebuilding of the weak bridge enabled these buses to be withdrawn towards the end of 1957 and, like many of the pre-war RTs, they finished their days as trainers or staff buses.

The first nine AEC Regent IIIs (0961001-009) were delivered to West Riding and 61, AHL656, was one of these delivered in 1946 as additions to the tram replacement fleet. Initially in red livery if was painted into the green livery by December 1954 and repainted back to the red livery in August 1957.

Aberdeen 18, BRS518, was one of six such buses delivered in 1946 with four more following in 1947 and is here seen at the King Street Garage. Fitted with a Weymann H30/26R body the chassis was of the London 'RT3' style.

Halifax 36, JX9401, seen leaving Skircoat Road Garage with a light covering of snow on the ground was one of eight such buses delivered in 1946. Originally numbered 301 this Roe H31/25R bodied bus was renumbered to 36 in 1952 and was withdrawn later in 1959.

Simpson, Rosehearty HLW144 was new as London Transport RT157 in 1947. It was acquired in April 1963 from Brown's Blue, Markfield. Seen here in Simpson's green/cream livery, operating the Fraserburgh Town Service, it passed to Alexander Northern as NRC1 in December 1966. Park Royal H30/26R bodywork was carried on the AEC Regent III chassis.

MLL838, formerly RT3528, was new to LT (Country Area) in May 1953. It was acquired by Samuel Ledgard in November 1963; it was acquired by WYRCC in October 1967 when Ledgard's sold out but wasn't operated by them. During the early 70s it was used on City Sightseeing Tours but is pictured in the ownership of Bedlington & District. By this time it had been fitted with platform doors.
