1. 270MHO ... 270MHO, Provincial 59, with an AEC Regent II chassis built in 1946 and subsequently re-bodied by Reading of Portsmouth in 1964. BBF1 notes it as "Ex Hawkins" in 1962 and "14" in the Provincial fleet.

2. ACN167 ... Gosport & Fareham (Provincial), Hoeford 16, ACN167, had been new in 1946 as Northern General 1167.

3. BAG129 ... Scrapyard/dealer line-up with in the centre Ribble Motors Leyland Titan Highbridge Double Deck, I think 2657, CCK829, built 1948. Oh how I wish I had taken more pictures at this place; there must have been at least fifty buses. The single decker my partner in crime is leaning on is HD5802 and the white double decker is BAG129. The more interesting one looks like the single decker with the white roof, no doubt the connoisseurs out there will know were its from etc.

4. BJN94 ... Southend 236, BJN94, one of three AEC Regent II's with Massey L55R bodies new in 1946.

5. BJN94 ... Southend's first new buses postwar were three Regent II/Massey of 1946. 236, BJN94, of this batch is in Southend High Street on route 5a to Shoebury Cambridge Hotel.

7. EYG25 ... Burrows 52, EYG25, was new in March 1946 with a Strachan L27/28R body but was rebodied with a Roe H33/28RD body and is seen here in Leeds Bus Station on its first day in service with the new body.

8. GRR351 ... Mansfield District 65, GRR351, was one of twenty-five A.E.C. Regent IIs delivered in 1946 wth Weymann H30/26R bodies.

9. HAT252 ... Hull 252, HAT252, was an A.E.C. O661 Regent with a Weymann H31/29R body new in October 1946, and was seen outside Paragon Station in Hull.

10. HGC225 ... Grimsby Cleethorpes Transport 47, HGC225, a Weymann H30/26R bodied AEC Regent dating from 1946 acquired from London Transport (STL2692) in 1955.

11. HGC225 ... Privately preserved ex-London Transport G351, HGC130, a Park Royal H30/26R bodied Guy Arab II and STL2692, HGC225, a Weymann H30/26R bodied AEC Regent II, both dating from February 1946 stand in Crystal Palace Station yard before setting off to take part in the Golden Jubilee rally to celebrate 50 years of St Helens Corporation Transport 1919-1969 on the following day.

12. HGC228 ... Grimsby-Cleethorpes 45, HGC228, an A.E.C. O661 Regent with a Weymann H30/26R body was one of six which Grimsby had acquired in August 1955 from London Transport, where it had been numbered STL2695.

14. JK9117 ... Eastbourne Corporation 19, JK9117, the solitary Weymann H30/26R bodied AEC 'Regent' II delivered in 1946 seen at the Churchdale Road garage yard in April 1966. This was withdrawn and sold for scrap in May 1967 having served as the driver trainer for several years prior to withdrawal.

15. LWL304 ... City of Oxford AEC Regent II H843, LWL304, on Cornmarket Street, Oxford. It carried a Park Royal H30/26R body, new in October 1946.

16. LWL313 ... Worth, Enstone acquired LWL313 from City of Oxford in May 1958 and ran it until August 1960. It was an A.E.C. O661 Regent II, one of twenty-one new to Oxford in 1946 with Park Royal H30/26R bodies and is seen on Worth's stand at Gloucester Green, Oxford.

17. LWL317 ... New to City of Oxford in 1946, LWL317 was one of twenty-one AEC 0661 Regents with Park Royal H30/26R bodies and had fleet number H322 being renumbered to H856 in October 1952. After withdrawal it passed in April 1958 to Say, Gloucester with whom it is seen here before passing to Marchant, Cheltenham in March 1959. It was sold for scrap in June 1964.

20. CRD253 ... The first of four pictures of former Reading and McLennans AEC Regent CRD253.

21. CRD253 ... New as Reading 59 in 1947, CRD253 had been acquired by McLennan, Spittalfield in 1963 and is seen at the garage. It was a Park Royal L24/26R bodied AEC Regent II to which platform doors were fitted by McLennan before entry into service.

36. GTJ694 ... Morecambe & Heysham Corporation former bus 10, GTJ694, an AEC Regent 0661, originally having a Park Royal H30/26R body new in 1947, but later converted as an illuminations servicing platform and seen here performing that role on the occasion of an enthusiasts' visit to the town.

37. HVO931 ... Seen at the garage in Mansfield was Mansfield District 120, HVO931, one of fifteen A.E.C. Regent IIs delivered in 1947 with Weymann H30/26R bodies.

38. HVO937 ... At the end of the depot, I found HVO937 an AEC Regent II with Weymann H30/26R body. New to Mansfield District in 1947 as their 126, it was withdrawn in 1966.

55. 270MHO ... Gosport & Fareham (Provincial), Hoeford 14, 270MHO, had a Reading FH30/26R body on its A.E.C. Regent II chassis, which is stated to have come from ACN172, and was new in 1964.
