DCR866, Hants & Dorset 1102 had been rebuilt by Portsmouth Aviation in February 1950 when the rubber mounted windows with sliding vents were fitted, the front opening vents from each saloon removed and the seating altered to L27/26R.
When new in April 1943 as Hants & Dorset CD955, before being renumbered in January 1950, this Guy Arab had a Strachan L27/28R body with a limited number of half-drop windows and angular rear dome with no glazing to the emergency exit but did have upholstered seats. It is seen here in Barnsley Bus Station when operating for Rowe, Cudworth who had acquired in in October 1956 from T.D. Alexander (Greyhound), Sheffield 28 who obtained it in May 1956 from Aston (dealer), Marton.
