LAW112F was one of 33 vehicles, registered LAW101-133F new to Whittle, Highley in January and February 1968 in preparation for the 1968 season.
Of these, 32 were Duple Group bodied Bedfords, comprising 27 Duple Viceroy bodied VAM70, 4 Duple (Northern) Viceroy 36 bodied VAL70 and a single Duple (Midland) bodied VAM70. Finally, there was also one Ford Transit. Whittle's vehicle purchasing policy had, for a number of years, been to buy a new fleet for each season, generally trading in the previous season's vehicles after a year. Now based in Kidderminster, as Whittle Coach and Bus Ltd, it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnsons, Henley-in-Arden since 2015.
LAW112F, pictured here, had been new to Whittle in January 1968, and passed to Eayrs, Goldington, in April 1969. I did not note the operator when I took this, but given the date of the photo I assume it was with Eayrs at the time.
