United Welsh 22, PCY985G, was a Bedford VAM70 with Duple Viceroy C45F coachwork, one of a pair new in March 1969.
It had been delivered to Swansea by November 1968 and was originally allocated (and may have carried) fleet number 55 prior to entering service. It transferred to South Wales Transport in January 1971, on takeover, passing after withdrawal firstly to Paul Sykes, Barnsley and then to F Standerwick, Blackpool (both dealers) in both cases in December 1976. It was reported as being sold in March 1977, and then to D Brighouse, Woodbury Salterton in October 1977, with no further disposal known.
