This was a 'snatched' shot take when this Southdown Leopard suddenly appeared unexpectedly.
This slide was mistakenly filed away with my 1970 Brighton Coach Rally pictures, and languished therein for over fifty years before being unearthed to send to SCT'61. I thus mis-attributed this picture to that event, leading to inevitable confusion, whereas, as SCT'61 sleuths have accurately detected, it was actually taken in Shottery, Warwickshire, on a trip I took later in that year to Stratford-upon-Avon. The coach is a Leyland Leopard PSU3A/4RT with Duple C32F bodywork, possibly RUF811H delivered in May 1970, but a even closer view of the number plate is somewhat unclear.
