Edinburgh Corporation bought a number of second hand wartime Guy Arabs from London in the early 1950s to speed up their tram replacement programme. They were rebodied by Duple subsiduary Nudd.
The rebodying included a very flamboyant concealed radiator and a fake full front. The nearside "windscreen" and forward side window are actually fresh air! 314 JWS594 was also reregistered when it was rebuilt In London it had been G77 GLL577 dating from 1943.
Seen to the right of 314 is Leeds 401, HUM401, a 1939 AEC Regent with Roe bodywork
