Hanson Regent III rebuild 375, XVH133 prepares to depart from Meltham bus station at 11pm for the final journey to Huddersfield via Helme and Milnsbridge under the "Hanson Banner" on 30/9/69.
Huddersfield Corporation took over the following day.
I'm amongst the bunch of enthusiasts in front of 375. We rode to to Huddersfield, arrival 11.30pm then cadged a lift to the Hanson depot on St. John's Road where we witnessed 375 entering the depot, being the penultimate bus home that night.
The final bus in was 1967 Willowbrook B53F bodied AEC Reliance 405, LCX34E off the Golcar Circular and arriving shortly before midnight.
Thus ended over 45 years of Hanson stage carriage services.
