Hanson AEC Regal III rebuild 361, TVH497 with Roe H37/28F body dating from 1961.
It is seen here in severe weather conditions having just emerged from Helme Lane into Slaithwaite Road on the steep decent to Scarbottom and is about to negotiate around the parked Ford Corsair before tackling the remaining even steeper section of Slawit Rd. It would then have an almost steep but shorter climb to Meltham village centre to access the bus station.
In the rear view, 361 has safely negotiated the parked Ford Corsair and is gingerly progressing towards the steepest part of Slaithwaite Road on its way to Meltham.
